Wedgewood Cove

Golf Course & Events Center

Wedgewood Cove desired an updated website that showcased the golf course, restaurant, events venue, pro shop, and real estate opportunities. Their current site was over eleven years old and was not mobile-friendly and difficult to update.

After looking at inspirations websites and delving into their ideal client profile and goals, we very quickly found our design direction. We updated the look from mauve and textured grey to crisp and clean white with black and golden accents.

While the website turned out amazing, the process was riddled with delays due to the COVID epidemic and both of us getting sick one after the other. As a result of this project, I began to look for a better solution for both myself and my clients. This led me to the VIP Day framework I now use! No more delays, no more back and forth revision emails. Rather than a 1 month turned 2.5 month long custom project, I’d now estimate this project as 5 VIP Days.

We love our new site! Thank you for your professionalism and hard work!!! We would highly recommend you!! Thank you!

Integrated POS and Online Ordering

One of the first design elements we chose was to use poster images as menu links for each page. These bright and bold photo pieces are used on nearly every page as a secondary navigation.

We stayed consistent with this design throughout the website, but played with the number and shapes of the photos. This is highlighted on the Wedding page where we used three tall and especially striking images.

The previous site had a handful of images and although beautiful, they were inconsistently sized which seemed to distract from the amazing venue they were trying to highlight. We worked diligently to create a timeless gallery of images for each aspect of the business. For variety in the multiple wedding and reception galleries, we alternated the design layouts and added another mini navigation menu.

Additionally, they asked for integrated online ordering for the clubhouse restaurant. The website went live in conjunction with a newly installed TOAST POS system which made this aspect seamless. The order for pick up menu integrates directly with TOAST and is a much-needed and welcomed upgrade from over-the-phone ordering.

They also wanted to be able to manage the website in-house and quickly update upcoming events and tournament results. We created a blog with testimonials and event updates which are linked to the corresponding pages with a summary block. This will allow for the newest events and testimonials to be quickly and easily displayed without having to modify the design layout of the pages.

We were able to create specialized forms for each area of the business and send them directly to the desired area manager. This will greatly streamline incoming requests for information and tours and give their viewers a custom experience and thank you message.

One aspect of the previous site that was only a brief paragraph, we were able to transform into an entire page highlighting the spectacular building lots available. We matched a map of each phase of the estate with corresponding aerial photographs that really show off the truly amazing landscape. It was an absolute pleasure to create this amazing website that will bring a breath of fresh air and life into the golf course and events center for years to come.
